Jesus told his disciples in

John 14:16 "And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;"

Receiving the Holy Spirit Baptism is a separate experience from the born again experience that you received when you asked Jesus into your heart. Jesus COMMANDED the disciples to receive the Holy Spirit.

Acts 1:4-5

"And , being assembled together with them, (Jesus) commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost (same person as the Holy Spirit) not many days hence."

When you are born again, Jesus said that the Holy Spirit is with you, but is not in you.

John 14:17

" Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you."

The very first time anyone received the baptism in the Holy Ghost in the New Testament was on the day of Pentecost.

Acts 2:2

"And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the spirit gave them utterance."

On the day of Pentecost there were three great manifestations that took place to convince the disciples that the Holy Spirit had come indeed.

A Rushing mighty wind.

Cloven tongues like as of fire.

And the speaking in tongues.

I have carefully studied the whole New Testament concerning the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Each and every time a person received the Holy Spirit baptism after Pentecost, only one of these signs remained and continued to be the initial evidence that someone had truly received him. It is the great sign of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance.

That will be your sign dear friend that you have truly received him also.

When I received the experience of being baptized in the real precious Holy Spirit, it changed my life just as greatly as the day that I received Jesus.

The Holy Spirit will fill you also just like he did me, and it will change your life completely dear friend.

I am going to pray for you now. First, I want you to get off by yourself where you will not be distracted and get ready. After I pray, begin to praise God with all your heart for saving your soul. Praise him out loud and don't stop until you receive him. The power of the Holy Spirit is going to come upon you. Keep praising him and mean it with all your heart. Pour your love upon him out loud and keep praising him until he fills you. Suddenly your words will begin to change and he will begin to take over and speak through you. It will not be you speaking it will be him. Just let him continue to speak until it becomes a clear language. Then you will know that you have received him. He loves you so much dear one! He is longing to fill you with his precious Holy Spirit right now.

Lets pray!

The Bible teaches that this experience is for all the called who believe in Jesus Christ.

Acts 2:39

"For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call."

If you desire to be used by God in any great way, and to be ready for Jesus when he returns, you MUST have the Baptism in the Holy Spirit.

He is the one that will prepare God's people on earth for our Lords soon return. That power must be working on the inside of you, not the outside only. God's great works are done through the power that is working IN us.

Ephesians 3:20

"Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,"

The Bible refers to those that will be ready for Jesus' return as the church or the Bride of Christ. And you must be living in total obedience to be taken when he returns!

Ephesians 5:27

"That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having  spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish"

Only the Holy Spirit can bring us into this place of total obedience. And since the requirements for being ready for the Lord's return are total obedience, you will not be ready without receiving the Holy Spirit baptism. Not receiving him is disobedience. All who are obedient to God receive him!

Acts 5:32

"And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him."
