Who is Jesus?

Who is Jesus?
In the beginning God the Father, Jesus his son and the Holy Spirit created the first man.

Genesis 1:26 "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: "They made man to Love and to fellowship with them. His name was Adam. They made a beautiful garden for man to live in.
Genesis 2:8 "And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed." Man would never want for anything. The first man was made in perfection and was never sick, never had a worry or care. He had no knowledge of bad or evil. He never experienced sorrow or pain. All he knew was perfect peace and joy all the time because he was connected with God and God was a part of him. He was made in God's image.
They only wanted to love the man that they had created and they wanted man to love them back. But they did not want to force man to love them. They wanted man to desire to love them freely, not because he was forced to.
So they gave man a choice. They planted a special tree in the garden called THE TREE OF KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL.
God explained to man that he could freely eat and enjoy any fruit from any tree in the garden, except for one, THE TREE OF KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL.
God told the man that if he would eat from that tree, he would die.

Genesis 2:16-17 "And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:" (Verse 17) "But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die."
They wanted to have a special relationship with the man they had so carefully created, built on love and trust.
But man willfully disobeyed God and ate from that tree. And that was a sin against God. Sin is breaking God's law.
The Bible teaches that God is a Holy God and he cannot stand sin. It is rebellion against God and his laws. Such rebellion cannot go unpunished. He warned the man in great love that if he did this thing he would die for it. The same is still true today.

Ezekiel 18:20 "The soul that sinneth, it shall die."
The death God speaks of is not just the body dying, but after death the person will be cast in to a place called hell. It is a terrible place that burns with fire. When a person goes there after they die, they will burn in those flames with no rest, day and night in great torment.
Mark 9:44 "Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched." The word worm here means, soul. Hell is a place where the soul, the real you, will never die. The soul will live a living death in the flames of hell.

Then later Hell will be cast into a lake of fire where those under the curse will be tormented forever and ever.
Revelation 20:15 "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."
Although the man did not die that day, the sentence of death was upon him and God cursed him and the earth that day. He lost  everything. He was no longer in the image of God, and as the head of the whole human race, that curse was also upon all mankind as well.
Galatians 3:10 "Cursed is everyone that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them." God was forced to kick man out of the garden that day because God is a Holy God. He cannot and will not tolerate open rebellion against him, which is a sin. God is holy and his presence is pure clean and holy. No one can stand before him unless they are just as pure, clean and holy as he is.
Hebrews 12:14 "Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord;"

1 Peter 1:16 "Because it is written, Be ye Holy; for I am Holy"The Bible says that all men have sinned against God and we were born in sin through the fall of Adam.

Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."

Psalms 51:5 "Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me." No matter what good things we do, no matter how good we try to be, nothing we can do will ever get rid of our sins and guilt.

Isaiah 64:6 "But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away." We can never, in our own power, be as holy as God. All mankind: all of us, you and me, all our friends and all of our family were cursed with no hope or way of escape!

Oh, but God  loves you so much dear friend. God the Father, and Jesus, God's only son and the Holy Spirit had a meeting. Jesus told them, I will go. I will go to earth as a man and I will take their place. I will die in their place. I will take all their sins upon myself. Father I will switch places with them. For everything that they have done wrong, I will take all their punishment, father, so that they can go free.

John 3:16 "For God so loves the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life."

So he came to Earth. He came willingly dear friend, and they nailed him to a cruel cross and killed him. They hated him because he was holy. They spit on him, beat him and nailed his feet and hands to that cross in great shame; and, then he died. But that should have been you friend. He died just for you! Oh, how Jesus loves you. He gave his life so you could be forgiven of all your sins. He shed his precious Blood to wash away all your sins. No one has ever loved you like Jesus loves you. No one has ever cared for you like Jesus cares for you. He will forgive you now if you will only pray and ask him to.

Won't you pray with me right now and let Jesus forgive you and come into your heart?
