What is God?

 

Many people think that God is just a force, like the wind, or a strange power hidden in the clouds. But the truth is much more beautiful. God is a real Person. He is not a "vibe" or a "force." He is a living Being who made everything you see. He has a heart that loves you and a mind that knows your name.

 

The Bible tells us in Genesis 1:1, "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." Just like a house must have a builder, this world has a Creator. He made the sun to warm you and the heart in your chest to beat. Because He is your Creator, He is your true Father.

 

The Bible confirms this in Revelation 4:11, saying, "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created." You were created for His pleasure!

But in the beginning, a sad thing happened. God put the first man and woman in a perfect garden.

 

He walked with them as friends. But a liar, the Devil, came to the garden. Instead of listening to their loving Father, man chose to listen to the Devil. This was a total rejection of God. In that moment, man turned his back on his Creator and took the Devil as his new master.

 

Because of this, the Bible says in 1 John 5:19, "the whole world lieth in wickedness." We became slaves to a master who only wants to destroy us.

 

But God had a plan to bring you back.

God loved you too much to let the Devil keep you. But because God is holy, He could not just overlook our sin. The price for our rejection had to be paid. So, God sent His only Son, Jesus, to take our place. Jesus took all our sins and all our punishment upon Himself.

 

The Bible says in Romans 5:8, "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

 

Think of how much God loves you! He gave His own Son to buy you back from the enemy. Now, there is only one way to get back to the Father, and that is through Jesus.

 

Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

 

Will You Come Home Today?

 

God is waiting for you with open arms. If you want to turn from your sin and surrender your life to the One who created you, you can speak to Him right now.

 

Pray this from your heart: "Dear God, I know I have been a sinner and have been separated from You. I believe that Jesus is Your Son and that He died to pay for my sins. I turn away from my sins today and surrender my life to You.

 

Please forgive me and be my Father. Thank You for saving me. Amen."

 

The Bible promises in Romans 10:13, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
